The result is a
somewhat abstract tendency, half way between painting and sculpture.
Her objective is to work in three dimensions, and in this way to forcefully
assert herself as an artist of sculptural expression.

"Her sculptural
expression", based on bulging shapes and outlines, immediately
creates an effect of volume and discards the constraints of a frame.
She seeks texture, expansion and space. The artist revives dried plants,
aquatic flora, bark, leather and pigmented earth, using supports made
of methodically worked wood, coloured without excess.

The compositions
stand out because of the power and dynamism they emanate. All the works
are well balanced, reflecting the skilful hand of an artist whose liberated
classicism is unfailingly fundamental. Each work is an exercise in self-questioning,
a personalized search that is increasingly more structured and creative,
in other words, unique.
The approach of
Geneviève Brice is not to impose her own message to visitors
but to offer them, through emotions, the initiative to join her along
the path towards fascinating worlds for which the artist holds the key.
It is up to you
to give a title to her works .

The
ambition of Geneviève Brice is to immortalize materials that
have acquired a patina over time, and to bring back to life the most
beautiful gifts nature has given us in terms of shape and colour. She
opens up new horizons with new and traditional materials.
Starting from a
monochrome of the various shades of burnt savannah, she gradually diversified
her palette, moving from subtle hues of ochre, subdued yellows and dull
browns to dark reds and purples.
